Window #12 Print
Page 2A-9
|
I have a client who has a Victorian home. The front living room window consists of a 51” middle window and two slightly curved side windows of 30” each. The two smaller windows are separated from the larger middle window by beautiful woodwork. She wants a balloon shade in the middle window and then wants to use Window #12 as a single long jabot on each side window. The problem is she wants it inside mounted on the small windows because she does not want to cover her beautiful woodwork. Can this patttern be adapted for inside mount? We would not use the header ruffle. Or do you have another long jabot pattern you would recommend for an inside mount. What do you think of a long to-the-floor inside mounted jabot? Or should it be ended at the window sill?
It depends on how much wall space is below the window to the floor. Inside mount is not a problem. Also does the sill protrude out from the window very much? This might interfere with how the jabot can hang. I recommend you do a mock up. It might be a better look to have the jabots stop at the sill.
